Chileans in Ireland
How to Study and Work in Ireland as a Chilean
Ireland is the right next step for Chileans who have the education but need the English to back it up. The Stamp 2 gives you legal work rights from day one.
Before you travel
Chileans do not need a visa to enter Ireland
No visa requiredFor the Stamp 2 Study & Work program, Chilean passport holders do not need to apply for a visa before travelling. You can fly to Ireland with your school documents and register for your permission after you arrive. Note: The Working Holiday Authorization is a separate process that does require an application before travel.
On Arrival
You register in Ireland, not at the Embassy
Because you do not need a visa for Stamp 2, you do not need to visit an Irish Embassy before travelling. Instead, you will travel to Ireland and present your documents at the border. Later, you will register with immigration (GNIB/ISD) in Dublin or your local area to get your IRP card.
The Embassy in Buenos Aires handles Working Holiday applications, but Stamp 2 students go directly to Ireland.
